Temporary 30 mph speed limits (10 mph during convoy working)

 A number of temporary speed restrictions have been put in place to allow Cumberland Council to carry out works in relation to the Carlisle Southern Link Road, which are expected to commence 10th January 2024 and anticipated to be in place for 12 months.

Temporary 30 & 10 (during convoy working) mph speed limits:

1. B5299 Dalston Road - (Ref:TTROC/9154) From its junction with Cummersdale Road to junction with Peter Lane.

2. B5299 Dalston Road - (Ref:TTROC/9154) From its junction with Peter Lane to junction with Lingy Close Road.

3. U1161 Peter Lane - (Ref:TTROC/9154) From its junction with Newby West Roundabout to junction with Dalston Road.

4. A595 Newby West Roundabout - (Ref:TTROC/9154) For its entire circumference

5. A595 Wigton Road - (Ref:TTROC/9154) From its junction with Glaramara Drive to junction with Newby West Roundabout

6. A595 Wigton Road - (Ref:TTROC/9154) From its junction with Newby West Roundabout, to a point at the entrance with Newby Cross Farm.

7. A689 - (Ref:TTROC/9154) From its junction with Newby West Roundabout to junction with Orton Road Roundabout.
