THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (FOOTPATH NO. 111006 IN THE PARISH OF CUMMERSDALE AND CALDEW CYCLEWAY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Northern Gas Networks to carry out works for the diversion of a high-pressure gas main ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians and cyclists to proceed along the following:
1.An approx. 600 metre section of Public Footpath No. 111006 at Mill Race in the Parish of Cummersdale, between Grid References: 339441 552506 and 339051 552150: and
2.An approx. 289 metre section of Caldew Cycleway, between Grid References: 339499 552788 and 339441 552506; and
3.An approx. 54 metre section of Caldew Cycleway, between Grid References: 339125 552204 and 339097 552156.
There are no suitable alternative routes available for pedestrians or cyclists.

The Order will come into operation on 15 August 2022 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
